Zircon Drop Earrings · December

Each pair of earrings is handmade using raw, natural crystals. The beauty of this is that every pair will turn out perfectly unique. Zircon range in color with different shades of blue, some clearer and some more opaque, some lighter and some darker.

This design features a very lightweight Zircon crystal on a chain that falls half an inch below your ear. So you get the dropped look, but with the simplicity of it falling barely below your ear. The gorgeous boxed chain also falls behind your ear, with a thin rod at the end of it. The highest quality materials are used; these earrings are definitely suitable for everyday use. 

The process:  The stones are searched through, hand-selecting the ones that will be prettiest for these earrings. Attention is given to make sure that the prettiest side is facing outward, the setting is carefully shaped and then painted with conductive paint. Using an electric current, copper deposits onto the setting for 12 hours. This slow build up of metal creates a unique and organic looking setting that very securely holds the stones in place. The earrings are tumbled, hand-polished, and plated in the thickest possible plating of 18k gold, then attached to the gold filled ear wires. Long story short... a whole lot of time and love is put into these little beauties!
